FYI don't wait till 5 days before Christmas to go by a tree...the parents got in on Sunday Dec. 20th and that evening we went to get a tree. Needless to say there was not a lot out there. We did finally find one. He is small but very cute. Since he is so small some of my ornaments could not be put on because they are too heavy but he still looks pretty darn cute all decorated.
Last night a group of us braved the cold and went downtown to watch the light parade. We froze our butts off but it was a lot of fun and the kids enjoyed it. Here are some pictures from the parade.
Larry this post is just for you...here are a few pictures of Maggie in her new coat and collar. She looks adorable and I am not turning her into a sissy. She is my only girl so I am allowed to put her in pink.
For Thanksgiving since the men are away a few of the wives from the team got together. Joann and Karen cooked enough food to feed the whole team though so we had a lot of leftovers. We had a great time...we ate, we visited, the kids got to play, and we planned our Black Friday extravaganza. Yes, I said it we actually went out on Black Friday. It was my first time ever and it will probably be my last. Well, here are a few pictures of all the food.
Some of you have been complaining that I have not put up any pictures of my belly, which isn't really my fault. I had to have a belly to take a picture of so here is one I took the other day.
Today my friend Shauna's boyfriend came over and hung up my Christmas light for me. I didn't think that a 33 week pregnant person should really be climbing on the roof to hang them. My parents probably would have freaked had I done it. So here are a few pictures of Brian hanging the light and the lights all up.
Yesterday I finally got around to carving the pumpkin I got at the pumpkin patch. I am not very creative when it comes to pumpkin carving so it just has a face on it. My carving partner, Maggie, really did not give a lot of input either. She mostly wanted to eat the pumpkin guts. So here are a few pictures of our pumpkin.
Where to start with this story...well back in Sept. while Caleb was here he noticed Cal limping on his back right leg. Over the next few weeks he was still limping so I took him to the vet. The vet gave him some meds and told me to limit his activity for 2 weeks then have him rechecked, if you know Cal that was a challenge. Well after the 2 weeks he was not getting any better he was actually getting worse, he start to just carry his leg around and only walk on 3 legs. So we went back to the vet, we saw a different one this time and he believed that Cal tore the tendon in his knee and would need surgery. Not expecting this I of course freaked out, my baby was going to have to have surgery. Larry wanted me to get another opinion so I made another appointment with a different vet and he agreed with my vet. So needless to say I scheduled the surgery a week later. As of today we are 6 days post surgery and he is doing good. The first few days where rough because his stitches were bleeding all over the place and he would cry because the pain meds wore off. So we changed up his pain med regiment and it is going good now and the stitches have stopped bleeding and look good. They should be coming out on Friday. The rehab part is the most challenging. He can't go up and down stairs so he is confined to the middle floor which he is not happy about because we usually spend most of our time on the bottom floor. He can't play with his sister which is driving her just as crazy. Also he can only go out on a leash so he can not run and jump. As the weeks go by his activity level will increase but he will not be back to normal activity for 10-12 weeks. So as you can probably tell this whole ordeal has been a challenge and will continue to be for several weeks.

Today Karen, the girls, and I went to the pumpkin patch at Turkey Creek Ranch. It is a ranch run by the MWR. There is all kinds of things to do out there from hiking to trail rides there are multiple places for parties and weddings, it is a pretty cool ranch. Anyhow, we got there about 1/2 an hour before our scheduled hayride so the girls played at the playground and we checked out some of the buildings on the ranch. There was a jail, bank, and a saloon to name a few. When our wagon arrived we rode on it for about 5 minutes before we got to the maze. We had to navigate the maze and at the end was the pumpkin patch. Presley was our navigator and she got us through with no problems. Once through the maze we all picked out a pumpkin. Mine was a short fat guy, Karen's was tall and skinny, and the girls' was just their size. There was one of those bounce house so the girls played in there till our wagon came and got us. The ride back was about 20 minutes. We took the scenic route through part of the ranch. When we got back to the parking lot area the girls decided to ride one of the horse so we did that before we left. It was a great day and the weather was gorgeous. It had not been this nice out in a few weeks so it was great. So here are a few pictures from the day.
It all began in a college calculus class, then there where those unproductive golf lessons. A year and a half of dating with many months of that separated. A short engagement and an even shorter honeymoon. But in there somewhere was the best day of our lives, our wedding.

Connor Augustus
Connor Augustus was born on the 27th of December at 4:43pm. He was 6 pounds 10 ounces and was 20 inches long. He decided he want to see the world 3 weeks early. Connor's expected due date was the 17th of January. At least he waited (like I told him he had to) for his dad to come home from his deployment. I was not specific on how long he had to wait because he came 3 hours after Larry got home. I guess he wanted to be a welcome home present and he was the best one.
