Mud Race and Rodney Atkins Concert

So the last couple of weekends have been pretty busy. Last weekend I spent 9 hours in the hot sun watching trucks play in the mud. Okay, it actually was a lot of fun. I went with Shauna to watch her boyfriend, Brian, race. When the race was all done and over with Brian won first place in his class. Here are a few pictures form the race.

This weekend or should I say last night we went to the state fair to watch the rodeo and the Rodney Atkins ( a country singer for those who don't know) concert after the rodeo. There was a whole group of us that went. It was a lot of fun and a great concert. Here are a few pictures from the concert last night.

For those that want a baby update...I go in for my next ultrasound on Sept. 11 so hopefully the little one will cooperate so we can tell if we have a boy or girl.

Michigan/Ohio Trip

The day Larry left on his deployment I left to go to Ohio to visit my sister and brother in-law. My mom also arrived there the same day I did. While we were all there we took a trip up to Michigan to see my grandmother and aunts. To my aunt's house from my sister's is only 4-4.5 hours. The first day in Michigan we went to this little German town called Frankinmuth which is 45 minutes from my aunt's. Around dinner time we headed to my aunt's. We had dinner with my aunt, uncle, cousin and her family. That night we stayed there and in the morning we headed up north further to my grandmother's. We stayed with my grandmother for a few days. One of the days up there we went out to the point and played in the Lake Huron. After we left there we went back to my aunt's and stayed the night with her again. Also while we were there we went and saw my other cousin and his wife who just had their baby. He was a tiny little guy. So eventually we made it back down to my sister's and the low point of the vaction happened. I spent 5 hours in ER with stomach issues (nothing new there) but they did an ultrasound to make sure the baby was ok. Of course, he was and the tech could not believe how active he was. She said if he came out that active he was going to run us ragged. The ER doc also said that he was big, what can I say, have you seen his dad. Well after that low point the rest of the time at my sister's was good. We went to German Village and took mom to the book store there and of course she got lost in the store but that is really easy actually. The store has 32 rooms upstairs, downstairs, left, and right. It truly is a maze. One day we went and checked out a maternity store and mom bought me a couple shirts. Bryan who is a Ohio State fan bought the baby Ohio State pacifiers. The second to the last day we were there we went and drove around Omish country. We went in search of the quilts people painted on their barns. The key word in that sentence was search, yeah we had an adventure. The last day there we just kind of relaxed and hung out around the house. It was great to see them all and it sucked to leave them all but boy was i also glad to be home. So here are a few pictures from the trip, ENJOY.
